Pamla Davitt (Class of 2019)
…was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, and relocated to Cincinnati with her parents at the age of five. Cincinnati was home until her profession placed her on the West Coast, where she met her former husband, Danish-born Hans Jorgen, and relocated to Denmark. Jason Winther, their son,
a “premie baby” delivered in Horsens, then whizzed by ambulance to Odense’s renown premie unit, grew strong in record time and has never had a setback at 6’1″, today. Pamla’s love of Scandinavia is strong, so she works to maintain her fluency in the Danish language for Language Line Services (based in Monterey, CA), interpreting by telephone “911” medical, financial, government, and citizenship-relegated translation calls.
After serving briefly on the Society’s Foundation, she accepted in 2012 the role of President of the Society and now serves in her second year, together with a talented Leadership team, to promote the Scandinavian culture and Nordic countries throughout the Cincinnati, Ohio TriState and surrounding regions.
